Most of the work will occur on-site at the university's museums and galleries. Reporting to the Curatorial staff, candidates will undertake both field and desk work, and non-uniform casual attire is generally acceptable unless specified for certain events.

The pay levels for these positions range from ₹18,000 to ₹1,12,400, depending on the role. The Assistant Curator and Artist positions fall under Pay Level 6, promising a basic pay of ₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400. Employees typically receive a HRA of 20% in metro areas, along with a DA of about 34% (as per recent trends), resulting in an approximate in-hand salary of ₹50,000 for the higher end.

Promotions can lead to higher administrative roles such as Senior Curator and Department Head within 5-10 years, with pay enhancements up to ₹1,44,200 or more for such positions.
