Frequently Asked Questions

Percentage = (Total Marks Obtained ÷ Maximum Marks) × 100. For multiple subjects, add all obtained marks and all maximum marks, then divide. Our calculator handles multiple subjects automatically.

Most Central Govt jobs require 50–60% in the qualifying degree. SSC Graduate Level posts typically require 50%. Teaching and technical posts often need 55–60%. UPSC CSE has no minimum percentage requirement.

Add all marks obtained across subjects, add all maximum marks, then calculate: (Total Obtained ÷ Total Maximum) × 100. This gives the aggregate percentage, which is what most employers count.

Aggregate percentage is calculated on total marks across all subjects. Subject-wise percentage is per individual subject. Govt job eligibility typically uses aggregate percentage.
