Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a flagship oil and gas company in India, established the Guwahati Refinery in the year 1962. The selected apprentices will receive a stipend in line with the prescribed pay scale for apprentices. The basic pay stands at approximately ₹12,000-₹15,000 per month, subject to applicable deductions for NPS and income tax. As an apprentice, they may gradually shift to full-time positions, with opportunities for promotions to roles such as Junior Engineer or Technician over the next 5-10 years, where salary could rise significantly to ₹30,000-₹50,000 or more, depending on performance and departmental requirements.
