• Photo and signature format errors: Most rejections occur at document verification when photos are in PNG, dimensions exceed limits, or signatures are missing entirely. Always use white-background JPG photos exactly 200×240 pixels and signatures 200×80 pixels.
• Age miscalculation against category relaxation: Candidates over 50 years in General category but within relaxation limits for their SC/ST/OBC status wrongly assume they are ineligible. The role is office-based (9 AM to 5 PM) and non-uniform. You report to the Chief Editor and interact with writers, government officials, and print vendors.

This is a specialised role suited to graduates in journalism or mass communication with verifiable publishing experience. It offers stability and pension but limited career progression outside the publishing sector. Promotion to Senior Editor or Head of Publications typically occurs after 8–10 years. The role is quieter than law or medicine but demands precision, language skills, and attention to detail.
