These positions are engaged on a contractual basis under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme. Because these roles offer a consolidated monthly honorarium rather than regular pay matrix levels, standard government deductions like NPS, Provident Fund, Dearness Allowance (DA), and House Rent Allowance (HRA) do not apply. The full contractual amount is disbursed directly, subject only to statutory income tax deductions where applicable. Contracts are usually executed for an initial duration of 11 to 12 months, renewable based on institutional requirements and performance evaluations.
