The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is operationally a part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Established in 1963, VSSC has significantly contributed to the development of Indian space technology, especially in launching satellites and developing launch vehicles. The centre employs over 3,000 skilled professionals, including scientists, engineers, and support staff, and is headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

VSSC's mandate includes the design, development, and integration of satellite launch vehicles.
