• Posting to wrong post variant: Applying as Trade Apprentice–Data Entry Operator when you hold a diploma (eligible for Technician Apprentice only) will result in rejection at document verification. Match your qualification exactly.
• Certificate upload in wrong format: Uploading a mobile photo of your certificate instead of a scanned PDF or high-quality JPG causes portal rejection or illegible document files. Scan properly and verify readability before upload.

Your posting will be at an IOCL facility in the Northern Region (states covered: Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Rajasthan)—exact posting depends on vacant apprentice positions and IOCL operational needs. On joining, you will undergo induction training (2–5 days) covering workplace safety, company policies, and security procedures. The role is 50% desk-based and 50% field (market visits, retail outlet inspections, stakeholder meetings). You report to a junior manager or department head. Office uniform (formal attire) or branded attire depending on posting. Public/stakeholder interaction is regular.

Trade Apprentice–Data Entry Operator: Stationed in IOCL offices, retail accounting centers, or back-office divisions, you will input and verify data into billing, inventory, and payroll systems. You will type purchase orders, sales invoices, and employee records, ensuring 100% accuracy and meeting daily data entry targets (typically 500–1000 entries per day). Your tools are a computer, spreadsheet software, and IOCL proprietary databases. The role is 95% desk-based. You report to a data entry supervisor or assistant manager.
