Telangana Police Recruitment 2026: TSLPRB Vacancy, Eligibility, Exam & Selection Process

TSLPRB applications opened 19 August and close 9 September: 7,437 posts running from Constable all the way up to Sub Inspector, the largest police recruitment open on this site right now. Here's the catch. This single notification actually covers two very different eligibility tiers, and mixing them up is the fastest way to apply for the wrong post.

Two Tiers Under One Notification

Both fall under the same TSLPRB notification and the same 19 August–9 September application window, but they are not interchangeable. A graduate applying for Constable posts isn't disqualified by having a degree, but an Intermediate-only candidate cannot apply for the SI/ASI graduate-tier posts. Double-check which tier your qualification actually clears before you pay the application fee.

Selection Process

The stages differ slightly by tier, but both run through a physical test before any written exam counts toward final selection.

Note that the exam date for the written test hasn't been announced yet by TSLPRB; it will be released separately after the application window closes. Don't plan your final prep sprint around any specific date circulating on unofficial sites. Wait for the official schedule or your admit card.

Why the PET Stage Deserves Early Attention

Because the Physical Efficiency Test sits between the written test and the next stage for both tiers, it functions as a hard cutoff. No amount of written-exam preparation helps if you don't clear PET. Most candidates who fail TSLPRB recruitments fail here, not on the written paper, simply because they start physical training only after clearing the CBT. With the written stage still weeks away and no confirmed date, this is the right time to start building running endurance and the specific PET events (typically shuttle runs, long jump, and shot put for state police recruitments) rather than treating it as an afterthought once your written result is out.
